1 For those who want an early start: After the middle of August, these crops can be planted by seed into packs, under 30%-50% shade cloth, for transplanting into the garden next month; or, planted directly into garden soil that is shaded by 30%-50% shade cloth.
2 Plant before the middle of August; prime planting time is ending. If planting after mid-August, only use transplants.
